As a mystery, I thought this was very slow. I never skim, and I skimmed all through this book. I prefer a plot with lots of twists. I pegged the villian early and then had to endure the rest of the drawn out story. Not intrigued to follow the story into the next book!
It was a quick read and our group did have a lively discussion about this book. In fact, I will say I enjoyed this book, but if I were searching for something uplifting this would not be the go-to choice. We all agreed we were hoping for somewhat of a different ending.
I rarely don't finish a book. Couldn't make it all the way through this one. Skipped to the end...and could only ask myself why!
A very quick read, touching the surface of several relationships. This book was not a good one to discuss in a group. Most of the group did not like the book and felt it the characters were poorly developed. No one in our group read any of the previous books from this series.
