Very well written, moves fast but graphic and disturbing in the violence.

The club was split. Some of us really enjoyed the book-but others thought it was hard to get into, and the characters were too into animals and not really believable. But the discussion that the book generated was one of our best, as we got into our own families and realtionships.

Wonderful book! The whole group enjoyed it which isn't often that we all agree. The author is great at developing the characters and you really feel like you know them, and the way she talks about food and cooking, makes even the lease domestic of us, want to head to cooking school. Can't wait for her next book
