My Reviews
The last 100 pages of the book were actually good, but the first 300 were nearly unbearable!! I had to pace the floor in order to stay awake long enough to read it. Had I not been reading it for a club, I would have dropped it completely. I truly enjoyed the last 100 pages, but I never would have gotten there!!!
An interesting dilemma befalls this detective and takes her one a road not often traveled!
I've been to France and have always been interested in the Holocaust, but I was never aware of the Vel D'Hiv tragedy. This book was SO moving, I couldn't put it down. I felt truly sad, but I wanted to read on - there was an element of hope throughout! A great read, and an important chapter in history!
