When writing how one speaks..I would think that you may offend some of the readers, however, I thought it added more charm to this book, even with his use of the word "excitement"!!! I was drawn to the book to see what else this new imigrant sees, hears and feels as he discovers his love of books and "culture" that America brings. Facinating to read parts about his "upbringing" where life is a daily struggle...to find him a teacher of many! Thoughly enjoyed the book & would suggest it to all!!!

I really did want to keep reading to fnd out "who did it!"
