A wonderful coming of age story. A beautiful story about family.
A fantastic look at the lives of 5 generations of courageous black women enduring slavery in the South. The book draws you right in. You just want to turn the next page to find out what happens next.
A wonderful story about very different women that all meet in a hospital and find their lives are intertwined. I love the characters. Their thoughs and feelings reach out from the pages and touch the reader.
