My Reviews
WWII from a different perspective. How the War affected the lives of everyday people in the mist of it in Europe and in a small town on Cape Cod.
This book created a good discussion. We liked how the author intertwined the past with the present. We all enjoyed the book but thought the author tied it up too nicely in the end.
Overall we liked the book. Parts were disturbing and graphic. The mystery element kept us all interested. Some thought it was confusing at the beginning of the story but everyone was glad they stuck with it.
I had great expectations based on all the reviews I read. Though the book gave me insight to an area I didn't have much detail on, I felt it moved very slowly and at times was difficult to focus on.
