My Reviews
Thought it was very well written. I enjoy all of Ms Picoult's books, each has their own morality issue and makes you wonder, if happened to you, what stance you would take on these issues. It's been a few years since I've read this, but I recall it was very hard to put this book down, I enjoyed it.
I thought this book is probably Kristin Hannah's best novel to date. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. The story for me made me feel many emotions, which when I read I don't get very involved in, but this novel had heart and at times it broke mine. I recommend this book highly, you won't be disappointed.
I thought it was fabulous. One of the better novels I have read this summer.
A southern style narrative that takes place among the community Of La Luna La. between 1950's to 1980's.A book filled with joy and heartache, and at times I cried until I thought I couldn't read anymore.
In my opinion this book was very hard to put down. I think most girls/women can relate to this subject because we have all been where Calla Lily's been in certain times of her life.
a timeless classic for all ages.
This book is ok, not as good as Twilight. I found this book to be slow, not as exciting and very repetitive as far as Bella's thoughts and feelings. A little more action and not so much of "woe is me" would have made for a better book
As always Susan Elizabeth Phillips has scored a winner with Natural Born Charmer.
Her books always make me forget about my troubles and I laugh out loud with her characters, which i get strange looks from time to time.
A touching story centered around a dysfunctional family, but SEP makes it easier to bear with her wit with a touch of romance. I recommend this book highly as all her books.
A very touching story involving a family with one child with a disability and one being "normal". But we find that the "normal" son has his own issues. A story of one woman's struggle trying to keep it all together, and believing her son who has Aspergers Syndrome, couldn't have carried out murder. A very good story, and as Jodi does so well a very good twist at the end. I recommend this book highly.
What can I say? Jamie and Claire. Two characters that have managed to come alive for anyone who has read and fallen in love with the Outlander series. Number 6 in the series and just as exciting as number 1. If you haven't read the series you don't know what you're missing. Though the books could stand alone, I do recommend you start with the first so you don't miss any of the action.
Don't be scared by such a "big" book, because you wish that it doesn't end. #4 in the Outlander series, Jamie and Claire have been living in pre revolutionary America, knowing the war will start but trying to prevent themselves coming involved. A time travel series involving a British nurse from the 1940's who eventually ends up married to a Highlander from the 1600's.
I didn't think I would like the setting once they left Scotland, but I love the homestead in North Carolina and the dealings of the Native Americans. I highly recommend this book and the series.
Another fun read by SEP. This one did take me a few chapters to really get into the groove of the story, but it started flowing for me like her others. Recommend reading if you want a laugh, a good book to take to the pool or beach.
A really good read I couldn't put this book down.
As always Kristin Hannah has written another fantastic book.
A different take on the affects of war from a female (mother, wife) point of view, and the issues surrounding your oath to your country or the oath to your family and feeling you've let both down.
As prior military, I could relate to this story and the conflicts you feel thinking you haven't given enough of yourself to either one. I highly recommend this.
