My Reviews
Our club has agreed that Walter Mosley is a very descriptive writer. He does a wonderful job of building his characters. Leonid McGill is a new character with many traits of Mosley's character from the Easy Rawlins series. Rawlins was a success and McGill is not far behind.
Our book club has decided that this book allows each of us to look into our own lives and re-evaluate. It seems so easy to pick apart another person's relationship and their motives that you sometimes to forget to look at your own. These three characters truly demonstrate how a relationships work or fail. The most down to earth character in the book is Miss Bea. Wisdom is hard to overlook.
Carl Weber does a nice job of using characters from his past books to tell the story of the Choir Director. If you are a Carl Weber fan, this book will only add to your addiction. If this is your first go around, make sure you read his books in order.
