A fun year

we enjoyed this book, but did not find that much to discuss. Would recommend as a light summer read, but not necessarily for book clubs.

 
Dramatic, Insightful, Inspiring
Couldn't Get through it

I really wanted to love this book, but I and several members just could not get past the awful writing. The characters were one-dimentional. Even heros have flaws, but none were described here. I'll wait for the movie.

I would give this 5 stars, but other than discussing various aspects of the repression of women, we didn't find a lot to discuss.

We loved this book, especially the author's distinct voice. Plenty to discuss especially themes of material stuff vs. experiences.
