In The Woods

I found this book very interesting. It takes place in Ireland involving two murders. One from the 1980's and one present day. The characters are likeable and there is depth to them. I was hooked from the beginning. There were some things I felt 'left undone', but am hoping this is intentional and Ms. French will address them in future books.

Enzo lives

This book is written with an interesting concept, a story told from the heart and soul of a special life long pet. Enzo watches television, understands people, and knows his owner Denny, the racer, better than anyone else. He is wise, loving and protective of his family. It is tender, sad, tough to take in parts, but ultimately, a wonderful read.

Slow
Slow and bland

I found this book slow and I had to talk myself into finishing it. I didn't really find a character to root for as they all were bland. I really wanted to like it, and I'm sorry that I didn't.

Orange, not my color

Orange is the New Black was a good and informative read. True story about a person who made mistakes and paid for them. I learned a lot about the Federal prison system. I would recommend to other clubs. Our group had great discussion.

Read it because it's THAT good

I lost my mom recently to lung cancer and wasn't sure if I was up for this book. My sister picked it for our book club. I am glad she did. I love the way Ms. Caldwell writes. I love my dog and have friends I call on to help me. It is a wonderful testament to friendship and, yes love for a soul-friend.

Loved Tuckernuck

The story is Tuckernuck the island. The ladies just bring their special thoughts, feelings and wishes to it. Ms. Hilderbrand writes beautifully.
We had good discussion and most of us will be reading more of her works.
