My Reviews
May appeal to those with a strong interest in history.
An enjoyable book with good character development. A rather light book so there wasn't much to discuss.
Enjoyable story. History aspect may be overwhelming for some or underwhelming for those with a real interest in art history.
Characters are a bit flat and not particularly likeable.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Really took me back to my childhood.
Rather a slow start and if you are looking for an "aha" conclusion it's not there. Overall, very enjoyable with the 3 story lines paralleling each other. Appreciated the ecology angles.
Interesting moral dilemma's throughout.
One of our better discussions. Different writing style and subject matter. Great "what if" scenario.
Great concept with a twist on time travel- genetic and fate is predetermined.
Vonnegut used several different devices in writing 'Galapagos'; those alone are good for discussion. A quick read with an interesting premise. Much different from our normal book club selection.
This should be 4 stars- IT error!
An engaging story with very interesting characters. It was neither as dark or unhappy as I expected it to be. A good story.
The book's themes and diverse opinions of the book made for an interesting discussion. Either loved it or hated it.
A well written book that captures the history around the dustbowl and depression.
Interesting stories but not particularly well written. We had a better discussion on the parts of her life NOT in the book (internet research). It was interesting what she left out of her stories!
Good discussion on writing style and elements not included in the story. Quick read waiting for something to happen!
