My Reviews
Just a must read for any who have in interest in the goodness of people and the tremendous difficulties of living in the time of evil...Hitler's "regime"
Just a must read . I read when I was 15 and related to Francie(I called her that), I read in my mid 30's and saw it through more mature eyes and as a mother of 3 daughters and loved it more and it is on my to read again list.
If you are of Irish decent this book will have even more resonance.....you know these characters just as you "knew" Frank Mc Courts(RIP) in Angela's Ashes. If you are not you will learn a bit about what makes many of us the quirky and soulful yet optimists still, though all the hardship, people that we are!
Some books grow with you, like that special tree in Broolyn.
