The book is well written and provides an interesting look into the life of Chinese women. It is sobering to realize how few choices women had in those days. However, the secret language provided them friendship and a small outlet for their feelings.

I great book and a fantastic young author. We had the pleasure of attending a book reading and discussion hosted by the author. It is really important book that was a favorite among our book club members.
