My Reviews
A very inspiring and beautifully written book.
Our club loved this fun book about the adventures of eleven year old Flavia.
A good book club book with lots of topics for discussion.
Another fun book from Sarah Addison Allen.
Even better than the first "Flavia" mystery!
A good Gothic tale.
You know how it is going to end, yet it still surprises you that people could be so ignorant and callous when it comes to another human life.
Not really into the apocalyptic, end-of-the-world genre of books but this one kept me reading. I am assuming there will be another since the ending left everything so up in the air.
Most of our club found it difficult to finish this book. It just wasn't compelling enough. A few of us went to see the movie version and found that very enjoyable!
This book has been touted as Harry Potter for grown ups. Not so much! It is very slow moving and lacks the descriptive details that make you really feel like you are seeing what the author intended. I didn't dislike the book, I just wish I could have liked it more.
Our club enjoyed this book!
