My Reviews
The author's self-deprecatory narration by and descriptions of the protagonist provided an easy read- in addition, the author's knowledge of the movie business and obvious love for comedies allowed the reader to spend a couple of easy, pleasant hours trying to solve the mysteries presented- all in all, a well-written journey into movies and movie theatre nostalgia.
I enjoyed the novel, although it had its slow moments. The concept of the killer inexorably killing one, then another, then another person within a closed environment, along with the topical plot device of the Iraqi conflict, made for an interesting read. Consider, too, that this is the first in a series, and things look up for the future of the main character, Rex Graves, Scots barrister.
