My Reviews
A very warm story about friendship and family and the importance of both in our lives. This was a very good story to read prior to the beginning of the Holiday season. We very much enjoyed the recipes provided in the book.
Thought it was going to be a good read - liked the combination of spiritual and supernatural, but author didn't convince me that Mari or Jazz or anyone else was worthwhile. I actually wanted the Badness, whatever that was - which was never explained in the book, to win to end the book.
Read this as a bookclub choice. Easy read. Found his medical treatment and recovery more interesting than his claim to have been in heaven for 90 minutes. It gives hope to those who are afraid to die and need reassurance.
Great read if you are a mother who loves children, goes on and on about your child and would "do the right thing" no matter what the methods or outcomes or impacts on others, including the child. However, by digging into the past and solving the mystery of who her child was, did she bring misery and death to others? I wonder why the gap of 2 years from one murder to the next? If she was so heightened by sense of knowing, why did she stop wanting to find out who the boy's father really was and just left it to guessing? Loose ends bug me, this book had them.
Well written book by John Hart. I have read all of his books and found none of them disappointing, actually just the opposite! Great character development and no way can you figure out the ending until the end! Certainly worth reading.
Most of our book club members liked it, but it was a slow moving romance novel to me.
Very interesting and entertaining book to read and talk about with others.
Too much time spent in the first 1/3 of book and not enough time in the second 1/3 of book! India and Bali were more interesting than eating pasta and gelatto in Italy and learning to speak Italian. Nice to know that some folks can get away for a year and get paid to do it.
What an open and loving story of a lifetime spent together. Not a self-serving book but a way to share their life with others. Felt he was speaking candidly in a conversation with friends. Very good read.
Bittersweet story and proves that life doesn't always have a happy ending, but there is happiness along the way. Well written, intelligent.
Excellent read! I have read all three Girl books now and each one is terrific. Couldn't put it down, had to read to the end and then wanted more!
Literary - worthy of high praise. Author painted beautifully with his words, felt you were actually there. Great character development. It was a joy and pleasure to read. Can't wait to read All Cry Chaos!
Well written and beautifully told story that is true and so very tragic at times. Inspiring to know that there is an individual among us that endured and overcame. Our book club loved it!!!!
