My Reviews
A poorly written, stupid story abouts Gods. The point of the book is that the Gods are losing their power because we no longer believe in them, but the fact is they are not real. Anyway, somewhat entertaining at times but not a good book to read if you have anything else to do with your time.
What?? Too many characters. The ending comes out of nowhere. A strange way to learn about the effects of war on the Guerney Island.
More of a documentary, this book is poorly written but based on a great idea.
A beautiful story with good character development and I could really relate to i. Written too simply.
A well-written mystery with interesting characters and a surprising solution.
An interesting story told from a woman who is reflecting about her past, the secrets she has kept, and the lives changed because of them.
A very well written novel which descibes the life of a young woman during the late 1400's in Florence, Italy.
A great idea but poorly executed. I thought this book would be exciting and interesting but instead it was confusing and boring. However, some of the characters were memorable, Fawcett's wife for example, and it was a very unique book to read.
Beautifully written in old English, this novel conveys a powerful message and tell a wonderful story. Definitely one of my favorite books of all time.
A disappointing story with an even more disappointing ending. A great idea but poorly developed.
This book should "be gone" and never read again by anyone. It was incredibly stupid and the ultimate waste of time. It has no real plot or point. Horrible.
Very slow moving novel about the tired subject of the Nazi's at rule. I liked the character development but then some of those characters died! Very sad. I think the author had good ideas but then jammed those ideas all into one book. I especially hated that the jewel was lost forever in the ocean and not seen and appreciated by all for it's beauty.
