This is the type of book that grabs your from the first page. My book club loved it!
It hooked me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down. Every time I tried, I would wake up and read until I finally finished. Then I went and got the second book and did the same thing! Can't wait for the third book to come out in August! My book club loved it. I thought is was similar to Ender's game and the Golden Compass.
I enjoyed the beginning of the novel, but with all the back stories and build up, the ending just left me flat. I thought all of the characters were completely selfish and I didn't understand some of their motivations.
