My Reviews
Riveting. It is a true page turner. It also forces you to think and reflect on whether money or knowledge is more important.
This book is insightful. It is intense and keeps you turning the page. It also forces you to reflect on what is more important money or knowledge and if given the choice what would you choose.
Reading this book myself, and my book club all felt as though we needed our list. And agree it should only keep on growing and never end. This story takes you on a journey but it could have gone deeper however it is still a nice uplifting read.
This book was catchy at times and terribly slow at others. While the plot line begs the reader to turn the page, the overwhelming description of non essential information on artists, musicians etc made the book slow at times. It was also frustrating that The Sunday Philosophy Club never meets. I have been informed that this book is a setup book for a series which would explain some of the over detailing and why the club did not meet in this particular book. Still this is an insightful book. The ending was unoriginal and frustrating but it will generate GREAT discussion and it worth a read.
This book hooked you in with Prologue, confused you with the first chapter and kept you in the dark for a long time before beginning to give you the full picture. This book was not scary but it was suspenseful. It keeps you as the reader wanting more. You want to know who, when, why, how. Eventually you learn it all and are not disappointed.
This book kept us all turning the pages and on the edge of our seats until the end. It is a gripping novel that allows you to see both sides of a tragedy and understand how the tragedy came to be.
This book inspired me to do more. It also educated me on an area of the world I did not understand well. I only knew what the media told me and they were wrong. This book is terrific and I encourage everyone, especially Americans to read it!
This book has issues larger than this young high school protagonist. He takes them on with gusto. He may seem to have an attitude to his teacher it is clear he is on a mission. He proves you can and will leave an impact on Earth even when you are not here anymore. It was a fun read that you wanted to know what the characters were going to do next and what was coming at the end.
This was a book you could not stop reading. Not only were you invested in the characters but you knew something bigger was going on and could not wait to find out what it was. The climax was not a let down it was exactly what you are looking for a long winding tale of double lives.
This book is wonderfully written. The beginning is a bit slow to introduce you to all of the characters but by the end you will understand why. This is a book you will eventually not be able to put down. You become invested in the characters and the Epilogue will blow your mind!
This book is an adorable light summer read. Not much to talk about for a bookclub but still fun to read.
While it was not necessarily the best written book by Coben, it was very interesting and kept you turning the pages. I enjoyed the read quite a bit!
