My Reviews
The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
Book Club Recommended
Adventurous, Interesting, Dramatic
The Lost SymbolThe book contains a lot of facts and history, however, after you get thru the first few chapters, it is a real page-turner.
The Girls from Ames: A Story of Women and a Forty-Year Friendship by Jeffrey Zaslow
Slow, Interesting, Boring
The Girls From AmesBook was slow and didn't really have a point, other than to follow the lives of the women who remained friends for years.
Rachel's Holiday (Walsh Family) by Marian Keyes
Dark, Confusing, Boring
Rachel's HolidayInteresting view of addiction from the adict's standpoint. However, the story was repetitive and could have been told much more concisely.
Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay
Book Club Recommended
Informative, Dramatic, Insightful
Sarah's KeyThe way this book was written it made you actually feel the pain people went thru during WWII. However, as the chapters alternated between 1942 and 2002, it made the book informative without being maudlin.
The Girl Factory: A Memoir by Karen Dietrich
Poorly Written, Confusing, Pointless
Not a well written bookI did not enjoy this book.
