Loved this book! The characters are so human yet are actually vampires, witches and daemons. I love how the groups that are never suppose to mix, do, and what each of their magical talents bring to the story. I'm looking forward to the 2nd and 3rd books of this series!
I loved this book, very unexpectedly! The characters were unique and mysterious and the circus was filled with acts that were magical, vivid and so engrossing. I will read it again.
This was a fast paced read with characters you could relate to each of their perspectives. It makes you think, \\\"what/how would I handle it\\\". The ending was a shock and I didn\\\'t see it coming.
The first part of the book was pretty interesting and adventurous but about 2/3 of the way through really slowed down for me. I quickly skimmed to the end, ready to move to the next book.

I loved this book! It was heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. The characters were well written and engaging and I love learning something about history that I previously didn't know. This book made me want to learn more about the history and I love that the author provides recommended reading for that purpose! This book will stick with me for a long time to come.
I enjoyed this book a lot and it was a pretty easy read. The characters are well written and you just get an overall feeling of slight anxiety, wondering how you would deal with this life scenario. It was dramatic and mysterious and an ending that was a bit of a surprise.
I enjoyed this book and thought it was a smooth read - meaning, it was book that was nice to read on a lazy, warm slow day. The characters were interesting and the story just had a comfortable, smooth pace to it. How the different characters adjusted and lived with the tragedies involved was moving.
