My Reviews
The story is very well written and makes you feel the sadness of the times. I have read it more than once and know I will read it again.
After The Secret Life of Bees this book was very disapointing. I had to force myself to finish it as I was not very interested in the outcome.
The Color of Water is a great book for discussion. I'd have to say I liked the book rather than loved it but it was very thought provoking.
A beautifully told story. I could not put it down and I didn't want the book to end. I was very impressed with how the author drew you in and made it so believable.
I love books of other cultures so this one ranks very high for me. Although it was very hard to read through the foot binding it was a gripping story that I could not put down. It is a book that I will remember and I'm sure I will reread Snow Flower and the Secret Fan again and again.
I enjoyed the book. It gives some insight into a person fighting their demons.
One of the better love stories I have read in a very long time.
I wasn't sure that I would like this book as I started reading however I could not put it down. I think it is a great book for discussion.
A powerful book about relationships and humanity. This book evokes many emotions both good and bad. It makes you realize that we are all capable of both good and evil.
I loved the way it made you stop and think of how your actions can affect others.
