Our Book Group loved this book and would like to suggest a sequel about Hilly, Skeeter now. Are they like their mothers? What did Mae Mobley turn out like?
This book is so slow and boring...after 88 pages I had to give up.
We learned more about the history of the French involvement in WWII. We would have liked to just have Sarah's voice instead of back and forth with Julia's voice. It was a bit anticlimatic.
This just isn't the book for a discussion. While we all enjoyed the book, we didn't have much to discuss. There also was a delay between when we all read the book and our meeting so we had forgotten details.
The Back Flap isn't anything like the inside of the book. Very slow and boring. Don't see the point-
