My Reviews
This was a fascinating read. I had no idea this actually happened to Japanese-Americans during WWII. It was inspiring and eye-opening. A classic love story.
Once you read it, you won't be able to stop thinking about it.
I enjoyed the book until the ending when we never find out what happens to the main character. I was extremely disappointed in the ending.
This is a wonderfully eye-opening story of two boys growing up in a country that changes right before their eyes into a war-torn land filled with fear, oppression, and tragedy. I will never think of Afghanistan the same.
I could not put this book down. The characters jump off the page and come to life.
A great read!
A great read. Not a typical story.
A good story about a Woman discovering her true identy. A search that carries on over generations and continues after her death. It is a little long, and sometimes unbelievable, but overall a good story with very likeable characters.
This may not have been the best book pick for our club that is filled with Realtors; however it did allow for good character discussion and review of safety techniques.
