I loved this book! I am a part of a group of friends similar to this, in more modern times of course,and as a woman, could really relate to a lot of the topics discussed. It was also touching, inspiring and heart-warming reading the story of their bond, the things in life they went through together and how times can change you and your life, as the years move on. I thought this was a great selection for a book club to share.

I was really hooked by this story from the very first time I picked the book up. It was an addictive read and really tugs at the heart-strings. I was in love w/ the little girl, Izzy, right off the bat. Also very interesting to see the progress several characters make throughout the story, trying to come back from tragic events in their lives.
