My Reviews
Mitch Albom's new novel asks the question, "If you could spend the day with one person you've lost, what would you say?" As in his other novels, Albom gets the reader to stop and reevaluate our relationships with whom one is the closest, but this time it is harder to form a personal connection with the characters. A good book for discussion, but not a book that will stay with the reader for years to come.
I loved this book and its insights into Henry VIII's court. The characters are well-developed and the plot is intriguing. However, I was very disappointed to learn how historically inaccurate it was where the real Mary Boleyn is concerned.
