My Reviews
This was a book where I found it difficult to like the characters overall. But, they were very well written and interesting. Overall the story was compelling, however I am someone who prefers a bit more closure in my endings.
Our club had a lot to say about the characters and diverging plot lines in this more than ponderous work. Larsson's first book leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions about character and motive, but weaves such an intriguing picture you can't help but get sucked in.
I couldn't even bring myself to finish this book. I really enjoy Chelsea Handler's dry sense of humor and comedic timing, but these stories are probably a lot funnier in a bar situation, straight from the horses mouth. Her sex/drugs/boozey romps came off as pathetic and narcissistic. More of a cautionary tale than a a comedy of errors.
