My book club had this as one of our reads and we all really liked it and had a great discussion about the era that it was written in, The characters in the book were great for discussion.
Our book club won this book through another book club site. We all enjoyed the book and like that it ended so well after all the trauma that went on within this family. The story shows just what can happen to tear a family apart and and then how love can bring it all back together.
I will be choosing this as one of our Book Club reads. I read this over the summer and thought it was a great read. I had a hard time of putting it down as it just kept you on the edge through the whole book.
The book turned me off because of the language even though the story was OK.
