The Help

A wonderfully crafted first novel. Set in a Mississippi torn by racial divisions, this beautiful story of black women who come together to tell their stories of injustice and love is both inspiring and a pure delight.

The Given Day

This book is so rich with historical information it is hard to point to one event in the book and say that that is the pivotal moment it grabbed me. I loved it from beginning to end.
