I love this book. It's the best book by an American author ever!

I hated this book. I had heard so much about this book. Everyone loved it. A must read. For the life of me, I don't know why. Let me say I do not like to read letters or journals and I should have just put it down. I pushed myself to get through this. I did not find the main character likable or sympathetic. Way to self-absorbed. She reminded me a lot of Helen in E. Georges books. Entitled, fluffy- "oh, silly me". The ending was ridiculous. There is no way she would take up with a pig farmer and live on a remote island. A waste of my time/
