Sparks Rocks!

This was a wonderful story. I grew up with music and it has a way to make gloomy days bright or bad days not so bad. Sparks interwined music into this story in such a way that brought my eyes to tear. The relationship between the father and his two children felt real and I enjoyed the playful banter between the siblings. On several occassions I've visited Wrightsville Beach and it was lovely to see it through Sparks's words.

Loved it!

Bailey is a rich widowed-stepmother who was left with her husband's two ungrateful very adult children. Justice is part owner of a small private airline and does not particulary care for the widow Bailey, however work is work and she is one of his frequent flyer clients. Because of his partner's sudden illness, Justice had no choice but to fly Bailey to her scheduled camping vacation. Complications in flight caused Justice to crash land the plane in the snowcap mountains. Now they're stranded and hurt and trying to cope with each other differences for survival. If you enjoy novels with a strong female and male lead characters, this might be the book for you! This is not your typical damsel in distress. WARRIORS!!!

Women warriors has once again risen!

I love this book because of its strong female characters and flawed surprising heroes. I was deeply moved to read about the lead character's unfortunate events which led to her change from honored police detective to most hated condemned prisoner. The justice system which was the core of her existence was the cause of her demise. How does a woman recover from this betrayal? Read this book to understand the avenue this author traveled which entertwined reality with just a little taste of paranormal. The paranormal aspect of this novel did not overshadow the reality, romance, nor pain the characters felt when all was revealed.

A little disappointed

It started out okay but then it slowly began to decline. I'm not able to elaborate without spoiling the story for those who may want to read it. I wanted to hear more about the relationships between the characters introduced in the beginning of the story prior to the change of location, because there was the real potential for drama and romance and the road of self discovery. Instead, those relationships were developed shallow and incomplete leaving me unfulfilled.

Just Breathe is more than just a comic strip or the words repeated during labor, LOL!

It was a sweet story which depicted the evolution of the term "traditional family." Families not only consist of a mother, father, and children living under one roof, but a family can be a woman (with two children from a previous relationship) and a man (raising his stepchild)all living as a family. It was a wonderful story of letting go of one bad relationship and finding a relationship by happenstance. This was one GREAT story!

Thrilling, romantic/sexy, and it was over waaay too soon!

I absolutely loved this book. It had a bit of violence but that added to the thrill. The heroine was a bodyguard, the leading man was a police detective, the plot was strong, and the sexual tension was... intense. My bookclub gave it the highest score (five stars).
