I read and listened to tapes of this book -
a great book for discussion
A hard read for a while - but, I liked how the author put a twist at the end with who sent the girl to the court room with the lock picks.
Each person who spoke on the book had interesting observations on his life and goals and the goals and life of all he met. I came away from the discussion liking the book more.
A look into life of two women in a country and situation that is so unlike our life. Enjoyed reading and the book clubs review very much
I listened to the book on a CD and found that I was very involved with the story - the book club members gave me different insights and I enjoyed the book even more - thought I would not recommend it without some reservations. I wasn't happy with the ending, but in listening to other members talk I found more closure to the story.
I am going to read her other book in the near future.
