My Reviews
Overall I enjoyed this book, it's a quick read and interesting.
Got off to a slow start, but enjoyed the story. Not much to it though.
Honestly didn't think I would make it past the first chapter due to the content, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying this book.
I would have thought I would have been the last person to read this book, but after everyone in my bookclub as well as several of my friends talked me into it, I actually really liked it. Super fast read and a page turner.
This is not my usual type of book, but I found it to be an interesting get inside the head of a woman in an abusive relationship and her stuggles to get out.
Has a little bit of romance and a little but of a murder mystery. Not that type of book you would learn anything from, but a great no brainer for a vacation. Made me laugh out loud more than once.
Overall it was "ok" the politics part bored me to tears, but I am not into that kind of thing. The sections about family and faith were very insightful.
I guess it was ok, but definately not a favorite by any means, parts were hard to follow.
Overall I enjoyed it, short book and quick read
Parts of this book were written in broken English and French and who knows what else. I had to go back and reread things to make sure I knew what was going on, but I overall really found it informative. It made me appreaciate what I have more.
Decent story, but not much to it, very predictable.
I read Backseats Saints first and loved it, so I couldn't wait to read this one. While it was interesting to hear another point of view I didn't care for it as much. Maybe I would feel the opposite if I read this one first.
Short chapters made it a fast read. Interesting, but I would have perferred it being more about her drug addtition and getting clean, than the murder mystery.
This book had me until the end. Highly disappointed, but up until that point it was a true page turner. It did create a lot of discussion at our Book Club Meeting.
Starts off a little confusing with so many characters, but picks up after the first chapter. And although this is fiction, I thought it did a great job informing you of what life was like back in the days of the Bible. Educational It wasn't at all what I expected and I loved the way it was written.
I found this fascinating and somewhat educational, which was surprising. I enjoyed how the book when back in forth from the current time to the past.
This was an interesting and inspiring story of two different very men with a strong faith, but one was Jewish and the other Christian.
I couldn't believe how much I loved this book considering it was written for young adults. Couldn't put it down!
A little too detailed for my taste, but well worth the read. Can't wait to pick up the 3rd book!
This book was actually a lot less graphic that thought it would be. Not the best thing ever written, but worth the read. I actually read all three and I believe that they could have easily been condensed into one well written, not so graphic book. Cut the sex on every page out and the "inner goddess" quotes and there you go.
Still not sure why I couldn't put this down, but this was much better than the first. Gives you a little more insight in Mr. Grey.
I cant' believe that I spent so much of my life reading these books. I'm happy I did just so I knew what everyone was fusing about, not that I agree, but I guess worth the read.
Everyone enjoyed reading this book and some said they would read other Agathe Christie books as well. : )
Loved this book! Really gives you insight about living in Nazi Germany as a German. A real page turner.
This book did nothing for me....slow slow slow. Was so glad when it was finally over. It could have easily been written in under 100 pages.
Great book if you are interested in learning about what food can do for you.
This was our most recent book club pick and at first I thought this is going to be a long read, but about 30 pages in I was totally in to the story and couldn\\\\\\\'t wait to see how it ended. The other girls really liked it as well!
This is a great light read, but it also discusses some serious issues. All the girls in our book club gave it 4 stars.
This was one of our best book club discussions to date. While the book was sad, it was also very informative and a real page turner.
