My Reviews
I enjoyed the book but disappointed in the ending. I wanted more.
I really liked the book, but it is confusing! There are many characters and I had a very difficult time keeping them straight. We did have the author on speaker phone and listening to him, helped me straighten out the characters that I had confused!
Great book, I knew very little if anything about this time in American history. So informative. I felt I was there.
Very good book but slow going. Informative about life in that time period.
Thought it was going to be about her growing up in her family, which it is, to a small extent. But mostly it a history of comedy and small bios of comedians. Not at all what I expected and I was disappointed.
Nothing for a book club to really discuss.
Would make a great movie! Enjoyed the book, made for some interesting chats last night at book club.
Jodi Picoult is amazing. She tackles difficult subjects and presents so many viewpoints on the subject. All of her books are great!
I enjoyed Winter Garden. Not my favorite book of Kristen Hannah's but still very good book and better than most books out there.
I loved the idea of an invisible thread that connects all of us. Loved the idea, loved the beginning of the book. Was upset at the end, but don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read it.
I really enjoyed the book, learned a lot about the Indian culture. There were times I was confused and had to go back to the beginning to figure out who was who. At times, the book moves slowly. Over all good book.
I never knew the orphan trains happened. I learned about the orphan trains and how poorly some children were treated.
Everyone in book club enjoyed the book, and it made for a very interesting discussion.
