A wonderful book, important for all to read.
IMportant for all of us to know about WWII, especially from an eye-witness to the events in France.
Not everyone in our group liked it, but if you let yourself be there with the hostages, it really grabs you.
This book is tough going. Way too long, and too unpleasant. Wouldn't have finished it if I didn't have to for the club.
Must-read for every age and interest!
