A teen daughter runs away. Her parents are worried. Her mother decides to write a letter to her daughter telling her things she's been wanting to tell her for a long time. She talks to her daughter through this letter about her own growing up and her relationship with her parents. We all have our own ideas as to the ending. We enjoyed the story and could relate to some of the happenings talked about. It rated three stars because we don't think it could be ranked with our all-time favorites such as the Stieg Larsson books, the Edgar Sawtelle book, The Book Thief, Infidel, and The River of Doubt. However, if ranked among most book club books, we would give it a higher rating.
