My Reviews
An easy read which switches between moments in Billy Pilgrims life on Earth and Tralfamadore, sanity, insanity & the effects of war. Thought-provoking but not preachy, humorous but not funny, sad but not angry.
Ok, not the most well-written, but a fast, exciting, adventurous read. I kept thinking as I was reading the series: who thinks of this???
I accidentally ordered on my Kindle and decided to keep it. I had such trouble picking it up the first 100 or so pages - thought to myself "why am I reading this?" It's not a subject, war, specifically WWII, that I'm at all interested in. It got better as it went along - much better. Inspiring characters, inspiring generation, learned a lot and ended up enjoying the book. Glad I persevered and read it.
Unique subject. Great characters. Good story. Learned about a place and circumstances I never knew about before.
