My Reviews
This book was found to be very dramatic and very informative. It was great ride into the fantasic world of old Chicago's beauty and darkness both. It would be a great read for anyone!
Reading this book as an adult will give you a whole new outlook on it. As a reader from Alabama, it is especially touching. I would recommend this book to those of any age, any race, any gender, any religion. It has something for everyone.
This inspired so many emotions within all our club members. It made for an entire hour of discussion as well.
This book is worth reading to book clubs all over the world, or even if you're not involved in a book club. There are several members in our club, of all sorts and varieties and they all loved it with equal appreciation.
This was such a fun book even with its racial undertones. Being a young woman from the south, the things that happened within the story touch close to home even today. It is a book of strength, friendship and unbelievable faith in the human spirit to do the right thing. I would recommend this to anyone that just enjoys reading.
This book had our entire club talking for the entire meeting. Nearly everyone went ahead and read the next two as well. We would recommend it for any book club or solitary reader.
Our entire book club enjoyed this book. Half of us remembered the days of Kennedy, the other half had not even been born. It was a very informative and insightful book for all. It sparked all sorts of conversations for our book club. We would all recommended it to others.
This book had such a strong female lead that it made it easy to read. It was a story of true courage and sweet revenge for a wrong doing.
It was a bit of a slow starter but once you push through and it starts rolling, you can't put it down! It brought up a lot of interesting thoughts on history & the occult.
This is written by a local author in my area. It was an upbeat sci-fi adventure that kept the reader on their toes. I am anxious for the sequel if there is to ever be one.
