My Reviews

Fun, Adventurous, Inspiring
Not a very interesting read

The book didn't hold my interest, didn't feel particularly connected to any of the characters it could have been a better book if the writer had done a better job.

The life and times of an Irish family growing up in the 1960s

These are three of the funniest and warmest books our club have read, we all loved the books and continue to recommend them to friends and family. The author captures life at that time so well you feel you are there experiencing it with the characters - who are so funny you laugh out loud reading the books. Right from the first chapter you are hooked. He has written a fourth book telling the Agnes' story from her childhood, well worth the read as well. Loved these books!!!

Loved this book, very different and a good read right to the last page.

Pointless, Boring
The Witch of Portobello

I really hated this book, couldn't wait to finish it - probably wouldn't have if it wasn't a book club book. Didn't like the characters, felt it was pointless.
