Don't give up on it after the first few chapters. It gets better and easier to follow.
This was an absolutely delightful book. While enjoying the many charming characters, I actually learned about an island I had never heard of.
This has to be one of my all time favorite books. The writing style is almost poetic at times. Have read it three times. My book club sisters LOVED IT. We had a great discussion because it has so many twists and turns.
I found this to be a very interesting book but I'm going to have to reread it because I got lost in some of the scientific explanations. Definitely would recommend for my book club but I might suggest we take two months to read it! It's not a fast read.
This was the best of the three in the trilogy, but read them all. Young adult fiction is putting out some great reads! This is tops on the list.
Opened my eyes to the trafficking in women. A startling story.
Dramatic story of one man\'s triumph over incredible adversity. Hard to read at times due to the graphic nature of some of the subject matter but enjoyed it none the less.
A nice read but not much meat to it. Pretty predictable.
