My Reviews
The Bookettes met yesterday and had a wonderful, lively discussion about the Redbird Christmas. Out of 7 members it was unanimous that we all found the book to be a sweet, loving story, and a nice read for the Christmas holiday.
Inspite of it being a large book I finished it in record time. I couldn't wait until the end to find out for sure but suspecected the outcome. I would recommend it and look forward to reading other books by this author
Our book club completed this book for our January meeting. It was a unanimous vote of "liked it". When one grows up in a somewhat normal life it is hard to fathom that there are families that grow up like the one in this book. It was humbling.
This was an amazing book about the business of slaves from abduction to freedom and all that passes in between. What an awful travesty to God's children.
OUR BOOK CLUB LOVED THIS BOOK. EVERYONE WAS ABLE TO RELATE TO ALZHEIMERS DISEASE; AS IT HAD TOUCHED EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US. OUR LOVE FOR ANIMALS WAS ALSO RELEVANT. WE HAD A WONDERFUL DISCUSSION AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO OTHERS.
I could not put it down, one night stayed up all night reading it.
