My Reviews
While this book is interesting to read there are slow parts that one could skip over. I really really enjoyed Indonesia!! I could live on a mountain and ride a bike to the store! I also want long hair - should I try the banana tree trick?
I've been told my many people this is a good book and a must read but maybe I didn't get it. Nothing about the book was earth shattering. It was rather depressing and thought the main character was too self endulged. I'm not like that and have a hard time relating to people who are. I give her kudo's for being a survivor but not sure how realistic her life really is.
While it was informative to find out what a Federal Prison experience was, I'm not convinced it's that "enjoyable". I dragged on a little too much. Half way thought the book I was hoping something really exciting would happen but it was one boring experience after another.
The title is quite fitting - Survival, Resilience, and Redemption. Just wait until you get to the redemption part - LOVED THIS BOOK. Louis is a hero!!
