What a memorable book. One of my favorites.
This book is a perfect way to add a delicious element to your book club meetings. The book is filled with enticing photography, quotes from authors,great recipes. The book ranges from international exotic to 19th-century U.S. regional dishes with pleasing new twists. There is something for everyone.
Youa willa lika dis a book..The book club had a big Italian meal and had an enjoyable discussion. Elizabeth Street makes you want to investigate your own past.
It takes place during the turn of the century in Italy and New York. The main character is a strong woman, who takes it upon herself to stand up against the black hand(the precursor to the Mafia). Itsa page turner.
