A great portrayal of "family"

A fast paced read with a few unexpected turn of events. Our book club LOVED this book, although we all agreed the enclosed CD did not add anything to the reading !!!

It was a powerful book, and some parts were difficult to read. For me, I found it amazing that this is still prevalent in this day and age.

I loved feeling a part of the author's journey on the PCT. It was interesting to see how her life's issues paralleled the struggles she encountered on the trail.
