Our book club members enjoyed this book because it was interesting to learn about the circus and remember how the circus was back in the days we attended them. The characters were compelling. The life they led was rough, but some of them showed great compassion for others. The twist at the end was fun, too.
It took a while to get into this book. I could easily put it down and did not get that excited to start reading it again. It kept getting better as I got deeper into the book. I ended up liking it.

I liked the story told from the perspective of a child (young man). I loved the different characters. It was a very interesting and fun book to read.
It was a book I loved to pick up and read whenever time allowed. I finished it quickly as I stayed up later than I should have just to get in a few more chapters. Everyone in our book club gave it a thumbs up.
It was a book that was hard for me to put down.
