My Reviews
An amazing book that follows the adventures, both past and present, of a 100 year old centenarian who escapes from his nursing home right before his birthday party, and gets himself into some marvelous exploits, as he has in the past. The author shows wonderful creativity in the way he is able to weave everything together!
Read this the month after we read Great Gatsby, and it really added another level of understanding. Find this Jazz age very interesting and loved learning about the famous Zelda!!
If you\\\\\\\'re a computer geek, you will love this novel! Just amazing how Robin Sloan thought some of this stuff up! A lot of it was above my head. Some liked it, some didn\\\\\\\'t, but it inspired a lot of discussion, more than usual!
This was the first book I had read by Philippa Gregory, and it won\\\'t be the last! She makes history so interesting and easy to understand. The characters are wonderful!
Terrific book, told through the point of view of the main character and also the K-9 dog he is partnered with. Everyone enjoyed it!
Thought this would be interesting for my bookclub at Christmas, but not warm and fuzzy at all, more depressing than anything.
A beautiful, well written book. Gives you a little different view of the holocaust. This time we look at it through the eyes of a German citizen.
