Hilarious, laugh out loud, page turner, unfortunately reflects a hint of truth, but definitely worth reading!
Great read! Great discussion!
Interesting to read a period time piece at the brink of the feminist movement and one written by such a prominent African American author.
Our group discussed that all in all, it was a decent read, but some of the characters seemed flat and the ends were all too "nicely" tied up...It was okay, but not super compelling
A great insight into the medical professional is interwoven into the lives of dynamic and interesting characters...Also great insight into life in Ethiopia. Very well written, very compelling
Our generation is losing the impact of what WWII had on those who served and their families. This amazing story of survival and redemption protects a valuable piece of American history.
Interesting contrast on American life and Indian culture with a powerful adoption story woven into it.
Not the most engaging story line but preserves an interesting piece of southern American history.
couldn\'t put it down! Loved the book!
