"Beach Music" is a beautifully written novel so read slowly to savor each word! One of my favorite books by Pat Conroy as he always tackles complicated family histories with Southern backgrounds. Loved it!

It took too long for the story to get going. The second half of the book was great.

This book was a book club selection that I was not excited at all to read. Boy, was I wrong. I'm still thinking about this book 6 months later. This book led to a good discussion in our book club. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

I absolutely devoured this book as I love everything that Kristen Hannah writes. Get ready for an emotional helicopter ride as we learn about the flawed life of Jolena the Black Hawk helicopter pilot and the impact her deployment has on her already troubled marriage and family. As I've never been around a military family, I've learned to appreciate EVEN MORE the sacrifices and bravery involved with the soldier deployed and the family left behind. Get the tissues ready - great read!
