Just Kids by Patti Smith

Beautifully written

Patti Smith's memories of her time growing into fame in NY with Robert Mapplethorpe demonstrated her love and compassion for someone she didn't always understand but never failed to support. It revealed what an amazing person she is. It was one of the first times I ever felt like writing a fan letter to the author of a book. I didn't but I felt like it.

I enjoyed the story

I listened to it in my car so I am reviewing the audio version. I thought it was a fun story. Shoot, it had Richard Burton as a character, how is that not fun? The jumping from time to time did not bother me. The only "disappointment" I would say is that it appears that the author got to the point where he decided he needed to wrap things up and then he did it all in a rush.
