Everyone in our book club liked this book, although some would have preferred a different ending. It was very good.
Was very true to the area, and the time. True to small towns also. Well written.
Lots of characters and lots of jumping around made it very confusing to follow. That kept the rating low for our book club. The book was very good once you got past the confusion.
Our book club really likes Erik Larson. This was his 3rd book that we've read and he puts a lot of work and research into his books. The book was liked by everyone.
Our book club rated this 4,4 out of 5. Several people were so interested that they did more research on Beryl Markham and brought it to our meeting. It inspired lots of discussion.
Our book club really enjoyed this book. It started a little slow, but hang in there, it gets really good. True story during a difficult time in history. You'll really care about the Boys in the Boat.
